Aston Martin was originally called Bamford & Martin Ltd. when it opened in 1913, but the name was changed to Aston Martin after success in the Aston Clinton Hill Climb in 1914. The company was liquidated in 1915 when Bamford and Martin both joined the military at the outbreak of World War I and sold the company's machinery. They re-founded the company in 1922 but continually failed until the late 20s when it finally created a successful model. Work stopped again because of World War II. car company at the same time for its six-cylinder engine. It combined that engine with sporty, new bodies, and the iconic Aston Martin DB models were born.

Each Centenary Edition car will get solid sterling silver badges with enamel inlay on the fenders and a unique, graduated silver paint color. Inside, the cars will have Deep Soft black leather with silver stitching that had previously only be available on the One-77One-77Aston Martin One-77United Kingdom, 2009 > 20125 photos
. The Aston Martin wings are embroidered with the same silver stitching. There is also a solid sterling silver plaque that shows the car build number.

Aston Martin says that the paint takes roughly 68 hours to apply to each car. It is made by gradually tinting the paint mixture in successive coats that move up the car. It has to be applied in a mini-spay can to the individual panels.

The cars will also come with a box containing two glass keys, key pouches made from the car's leather interior, solid silver cufflinks, a cloth to polish the silver, a solid silver Rollerball pen and Bang & Olufson headphones.

“Clearly, the centenary of Aston Martin is a great occasion for our business, our customers, and our fans around the world.

“It is only right, then, that we have developed these exceptional Centenary Edition models which will, I am sure, quickly become highly desirable and sought-after," Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez.

The car's price is only available upon reservation.
