the vehicle combines the vision and technical capabilities of the two top brands, as well as unique parts and advanced materials in its construction. This was the first road car that had the technical collaboration of the famous F1 engineer Adrian Newey.

Together with Newey, Marek Reichman, Design Director of Aston Martin and David King, Director of Special Operations were the masterminds behind the AM-RB 001. The influence of Newey can be found mainly under the car, with the lower space compartment reduced in the driver area and also in the rear engine area. The front and rear diffusers and air channels are also the responsibility of the Red Bull engineer.

The ultimate goal of both companies is to create a car that is usable and enjoyable as a road vehicle, but with a capacity on track that no road car had in the past. Aston Martin and Red Bull revealed that their ambitions went further and a competition version of the AM-RB 001 is also being developed, in line with Le Mans' LMP1 category.

Although there a still too much details to be revealed it is known that the future production version of the AM-001 RB will use a new mid V12 engine that has the potential to provide a power to weight ratio of 1: 1. In order not to compromise the comfort, taking into account the large aerodynamic loads AM-RB 001, the vehicle will feature a suspension developed by Newey. The same will happen with the transmission.

With market launch expected for 2018, the AM-001 RB will be produced at the Aston Martin factory in Gaydon, UK. Total production should be around 99-150 road units, which include the remaining prototypes. There will also be 25 racing versions.
