has fully revealed its NAIAS concept that it first teased several weeks ago. The Allroad Shooting Brake is a hybrid, compact crossover that borrows styling from TTTTAudi TTGermany, 1995 > present3 series

“The show car combines sex appeal, highly efficient e-tron-quattro technology that produces 300 kW (402hp) of power yet only consumes 1.9 l/100 km (123.8 US mpg) of fuel and cutting-edge electronic applications,” says Ulrich Hackenberg, head of technical development at Audi.

The two-door crossover features Audi’s large, single-frame grill with polished aluminum slats, active matrix LED headlights and a steeply raked hood. In profile, the roof appears almost flat with two aluminum luggage bars and ends at a hatch that sits diagonally that further lengthens the rear. The exterior is painted in a pearlescent blue color called Ice Blue. The wheels are made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

The interior seats four passengers with sport seats in the front. It features an Alcantara headliner with aluminum trim around the controls, air nozzles and multifunction steering wheel. The controls are shown from the next generation Audi TT shown at CES with the HVAC controls in the air nozzles and infotainment system incorporated into the gauge cluster.

The hybrid powertrain consists of 408hp and 479lb-ft (650Nm) from an internal combustion engine and two electric motors. They get the concept to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. It uses 1.9l/100km (123.8 US mpg) and emits 45g/km of CO2. All of this is in a vehicle that weighs 3527lb (1,600kg).

The internal combustion engine is a 2.0 TFSI with 288hp and 280lb-ft (380Nm). An electric motor with 54hp and 199lb-ft (270Nm) sits between the engine and the six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The second electric motor with 114hp and 199lb-ft (270Nm) is attached to the rear axle and can act independently from the drivetrain at the front.

An 8.8kWh lithium-ion battery under the floor in the middle of the concept powers both electric motors. It is enough to give the car a 31-mile (50km) range of pure EV driving.

Audi says that a concept like the Allroad Shooting Brake is possible for production but is not making promises yet.
