Audi Becomes Official Car of the Olympics

has taken over the role as the official automotive sponsor of the International Olympic Committee, which means that it will be the official vehicle of the Sochi Olympics in 2014. The deal runs from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2016. The previous automotive sponsor of the IOC was BMW GroupBMWBMWGermany, 1918 > present87 models

Audi will supply all of the 40 vehicles to the IOC's fleets in Lausanne, Switzerland, and international IOC events. Audi will also be the official partner the National Olympic Committees in Germany, Finland, Russia and Switzerland.

“Through our cooperation with the IOC as the top-level global organization we aim to link our brand even closer with international sport. We’re going to shape many exciting joint projects in the future," said Luca de Meo, head of marketing at Audi.
