with a lightened version of the TT's chassis.

The Ultra Quattro weighs 1,111kg (2,449lb), 129kg (284.4lb) less than a standard TT, but benefits from the new 2.0 TFSI engine with 306hp and 295lb-ft of torque. It is enough to get it to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds, a tenth slower than a TT RS PlusTT RS plusAudi TT RS plusGermany, 2012 > present5 photos
. The top speed is limited to 280km/h (174mph).

The weight loss comes thanks to use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic components in the rear end, center tunnel, B-pillars, hood and roof. The floor reinforcements and hinges are made from magnesium. The rear wing is made from raw carbon fiber. The suspension's springs are made out of fiberglass instead of steel, which are 40% lighter than conventional springs. The battery has been replaced with a lighter lithium-ion unit, and it has been moved under the driver's seat.

To improve aerodynamics the side mirrors are removed and replaced with rear-facing cameras.

Inside, the seats are taken directly from the R8 GT and reduce the weight by 22kg (48.5lb) by themselves. However, comfort has not been entirely removed. The car still has air conditioning, electric windows and an electromechanical parking break.

To further improve performance, the Ultra Quattro gets ceramic disc brakes, a titanium exhaust and wheels made from aluminum rings with CFRP spokes.

Audi says that it has no intention to put the TT Ultra Quattro in production at the moment, but that all the technologies used are production-ready. The car would be possible to build in small batches.
