is working on a whole new design language with the intention of making its models more differentiated so that the A4, A6 and A8 do not just look like miniature versions of one another. At the same time, it will heavily market the advantages of Quattro all-wheel drive again.
The goal of the new styling is for pedestrians to know which Audi they are looking at when they see one on the street. The company says that it has taken some criticism for making its line of sedans and crossovers look to similar.
Audi is keeping the exact changes to the design a secret for now, but one major change will be the switch to a more horizontal grill, as opposed to the vertical waterfall grill that it has used for the past decade.
At the same time, Audi is worried that the marketing for its Quattro all-wheel drive system has lost importance in the last few years, and it wants to change that. While Audi was hardly the first car in the world with all-wheel drive, it did the most to popularize the technology for premium cars.
This might even go beyond mere marketing, and there is a chance that the Sport Quattro Concept could become the brand’s all-wheel drive halo car.
