Chevrolet Considering Subcompact SUV Based on Opel Mokka and Buick Encore

Chevrolet has filed patent drawings in Europe for a Chevy version of the Opel Mokka and Buick Encore.

The patent filings show a subcompact SUV with the contemporary Chevy, two-row front grill. This Chevrolet version looks less agile than the Buick and Opel versions, which are much curvier. This version has a more chunky appearance.

Given that the filing was made in Europe, and Chevrolet is marketed as more of a low-cost model there, it is unlikely that this car will come to the US. It may be a cheaper version of the Mokka or sold in emerging European markets.
