Citroën DS3 collecting awards

Juries in France, Norway and in the UK have been seduced by the Citroën DS3. Over the last two weeks the latest creation from Citroën has received three titles of Car of the Year 2011, from France, Norway and the UK.

The first of them came from the French press and was announced on the 22nd of November. This award was handed to the DS3, together with the C3, by the webzine Auto Mag Info and counted with the participation of 15 journalists from 19 French public and trade media, including Le Progrès, Nice Matin, La Voix du Nord, turbo.fr, Auto Hebdo, caradisiac.com and La Marseillaise.

During this week the DS3 has been handed two similar distinctions from Norway and the UK.

In Norway the award came from a competition organised by the Norwegian media Dagbladet and Vi Menn. In this case the readers were responsible for the decision, as they voted via the web for one of 30 cars.

In the UK, the DS3 was awarded “Car of the Year” by the prestigious automotive magazine Top Gear. Together with it Citroën’s hatchback also received the prize in the “Small Car” category.

The DS3 beat out numerous competitors from full-line and premium brands alike – including Jaguar, Bentley, Honda, Peugeot, Bugatti and Pagani – to win the magazine’s top distinction.
