The Nissan engine being delivered to Dan Gurney's All American Racers

Nissan has been compiling a series of videos documenting the develop of the Deltawing before it hits the track at the 24 Hours of Le Mans as an experimental entry. The newest video in the series has just been released, and it looks at the car's Nissan engine. Specifically, Nissan's video crew was there as the car as the engine arrived and was started in the Deltawing for the first time.

We already knew that the Deltawing's engine comes form a strengthened version of the 1.6l DIG-T turbo found in the Nissan JukeJuke 1.6 Turbo 4x4 Tekna Premium CVTNissan Juke 1.6 Turbo 4x4...Japan, 2011 > present3 photos
with about 300hp. However, in this video the engineer says that the engine redlines at just 7,500rpm, which is farily low for a racing car. The production engine in the Juke redlines at 5,600rpm with 188hp.

The video shows the engine being delivered, fitted into the car and started for the first time.

The first video looked at the car's wind tunnel testing.
