First images of the Chrysler 200 revealed

Chrysler Group LLC has revealed the first pictures of the new mid-sized sedan from the Chrysler brand: the 200. This model is expected to come out on the last quarter of 2010 and is set to replace the Sebring.

Together with the first pictures that reveal some of the details featured on the Chrysler 200, some initial technical information is also being presented. In terms of engines the Chrysler 200 will be available with two new powertrains: the 2.4-liter I-4 World Gas Engine and the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine.

According to Chrysler the 200 offers “consumers exceptional craftsmanship inside and out, a refined driving experience, innovative technology, an abundance of standard safety features and an extraordinary level of standard content”.

In terms of handling tuning the 200 includes stiffened body mounts and softer ride rate, improved suspension geometry with a raised roll center, a new rear sway bar, and new tires. It also suffered an extensive upgrade in order to reduce the noise, vibration and harshness. To do so an acoustic laminated glass for the windshield and front door windows has been introduced.

Set to reach dealerships on the last quarter of this year the Chrysler 200 will be built at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
