The first pictures of the world’s first Ferrari theme park have been presented. Set to open its doors in 2010, the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will be the largest attraction of its kind and will pay tribute to the Italian brand. The architecture features a sleek red roof is directly inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body. Occupying a total surface of 200.000 m2 the roof carries the largest Ferrari logo ever created.
The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will feature over 20 state-of-the-art attractions, which includes the world’s fastest rollercoaster, traveling at speeds exceeding 200 km/h, in a clear reference to the speed sensation of driving a Ferrari F1 car. Another attraction is the G-force experience that takes passengers on an adrenaline-pumping ride up over 62 m, through the roof and back down again.
The theme park is located on Yas Island, on the North East side of Abu Dhabi’s mainland, a place that should become a global tourist destination. This capital of the United Arab Emirates was chosen as it located at the crossroads between Europe, Asia and Africa and because of the popularity of motor sports in the country. The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will stand next to the Yas Marina circuit, a Formula 1 venue.
