. It says that the center will most likely be in South Eastern Michigan. It believes that it could open the center by Spring 2013. Fisker wants a technical center nearer to the Atlantic's factory in Delaware. 

“This important step signals our commitment to bringing the Fisker Atlantic to market as soon as we can,” said Fisker Automotive, President and CEO, Tony Posawatz.

The company does most of its design work and is headquartered in California, but it wants to have another center closer to where most of America's automotive development takes place. 

The Atlantic will be a four-door sport sedan aimed at affluent, young families. It will use a range extended electric powertrain. Fisker says that most of the individual components are already ready for the car, but they need final engineering to fit together.
