Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Gets Special Edition With Ruby Paint and Off-Road Power

Special Edition that combines the technical upgrades for the 2014 model year with exclusive paint and interior upgrades. 

The special edition adds either Ruby Red Metallic paint or Tuxedo Black Metallic paint with graphics on the side of the bed. The interior gets Brick Red seat bolsters with black inserts, fake leather-covered dashboard and polished aluminum trim on the center stack and doors. 

“Raptor owners are looking for a high-performing, uncompromising off-road pickup truck with the features and luxuries found in today’s premium trucks,” said Doug Scott, marketing manager for Fords trucks.

All 2014 SVT Raptors now get a Torsen limited-slip differential for the front differential, which adds more traction to the electronic rear differential that the Raptor already had. Last year, Ford added several options to the Raptor including HID headlights, beadlock wheels and SYNC. Power still comes from a 6.2-liter V8 with 411hp and 434lb-ft of torque with a six-speed automatic. It is still available as either a four-door or two-door model.

The Special Edition goes on sale in the fall.
