Honda launching new hydrogen model

. A concept of the new fuel cell hydrogen model was introduced in Japan.

The future model will also be sold in the United States and Europe, but there is still no release date scheduled.

The new vehicle is a nearer production version than the oneHonda FCEVJapan, 2014 > 2014 that was shown in Los Angeles last year. The new FCV lost many concept design cues, especially the covers of the rear wheels.

The FCV is equipped with a 100kW electric engine but the power density was increased by 60% compared to the FCX. The size of the cell package was reduced 33%.

According to Honda, the FCV is the first vehicle of its kind to with everything needed for the fuel cell powertrain equipment installed in the engine bay. The brand says that the future model will provide a range of about 480km and will be able to be refueled in 3-5 minutes.

When it arrives to the market the FCV will have to compete with the Toyota Mirai that will hit the market in 2015 and also the Hyundai ix35.
