Infiniti G-series Convertible Gets IPL Version at Frankfurt

Infiniti G-series Convertible Gets IPL Version at Frankfurt

The Infiniti G-series is the company's direct competitor for the BMW 3-series. Its convertible variant is the most recent version of the chassis, and at the Frankfurt Motor Show Infiniti will debut a version in the Infiniti Performance Line.

The IPL G Convertible has exclusive aerodynamic parts, a tuned version of the regular car's 3.7 liter V6, specially tuned exhaust and suspension, 19in IPL aluminum-alloy wheels and a red leather interior with Malbec Black exterior.

The tuned engine in the IPL G-series uses an  aluminum-alloy block and heads with low-friction coated pistons. It makes 348hp, 15 more than the standard G-series.

The IPL G-series will be available in 2012, and Infiniti plans to announce more information at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

I wish Infinity, I mean Nissan, would make a track version of this car like they did with the 370Z. It would be awesome.

Yeah, and what's the point of no roof when you have a air conditioner?
