JLR has posted jobs for a plant quality manager for a new facility where “Portuguese language skills will be definite advantage. It also posted a job for an International Manufacturing Manager where it says that it "already a sizeable joint venture is underway in China, and other key regions currently under review include Brazil & Latin America, Asia, and significant expansion of operations in India."

Company chairman Dr. Ralph Speth has said that the company is in negotiations with the Brazilian government, but the job listings seem to indicate that the negotiations are going well, and JLR may be near an announcement. Dr. Speth said that a Jaguar Land Rover factory in Brazil would build vehicle from knock down kits, at least initially. BMW and Mercedes-Benz are doing the same thing with their Brazilian factories.
