Jaguar Says C-X17 Crossover Concept Was Meant to Gauge Interest

Jaguar’s official reason for showing the concept was to present its new modular vehicle platform that will debut in 2015 on a new luxury sedan.

"If we can get a slightly different performance-luxury design and new technology, it is possible we could carve out a different niche.

The next plan for the C-X17 is to display it at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November and gauge the interest of the American market. Whether it will be popular in the United States, will decide whether a production version is authorized.
