Kia unveils K4 concept thinking in China

unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show an almost-ready version of a future production model for the Chinese market. The South Korean brand describes the K4Kia K4Republic of Korea, 2015 > present design as "simple, distinct and worthy" and has confirmed that a model based on the concept will be produced, starting on the second half of this year.

The front design of the large sedan is dominated by the central grille flanked by two large clusters of lighting. The K4 measures 4720mm and its 2700mm wheelbase offers significant interior space for passengers.

The new Kia concept has been equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo GDI engine, combined with a dual-clutch transmission with seven speeds.

Kia also states that the vehicle is equipped with technology such as keyless start, rear view camera and even the new UVO infotainment system.

"We are confident that the production version of the midsize family sedan K4 will set a new standard for the entire class in China," said vice president of the firm's Overseas Marketing Group Soon-Nam Lee.
