at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It first announced that the hybrids were coming at the introduction of the Range Rover in late 2012. Both cars will be exclusive to Europe for now, but Land Rover is also working on a gasoline hybrid for buyers abroad. The news come from Land Rover engineer Stuart Frith. 

Both cars will share a diesel-hybrid 3.0-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The batteries will be stored in the floor so that there will be no effect on cargo capacity. They will be on sale by the end of the year. 

The Range Rover Sport will also get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder that is already available in the EvoqueRange Rover EvoqueLand Rover Range Rover EvoqueUnited Kingdom, 2011 > present128 versions
