Maserati Sales Up Nearly 400% From 2012 Thanks to New Models

Through September, Maserati has sold 22,500 cars. Its previous best sales year in its history is when it sold 9,000 cars in 2008. In 2012, it sold 6,300 cars for the entire year.

Creating the new models did not come cheap. Fiat invested €1.5 billion in Maserati from 2011 to 2014 to create the two new sedans.

"Our investment is starting to pay off," said Maserati CEO Harald Wester,
