is considering dropping his as a driver. In the six races this season his results have been: retire from Australia, 15th in Malaysia, 13th in China, 9th in Bahrain, 15th at Catalunya and 6th at Monaco. He has 10 points and is in 14th place in the drivers' championship. In comparison, his teammate Fernando Alonso is first in the drivers' points. Now, Massa says that he has finally gotten his confidence back, and he predicts better performance for the rest of the season.

According to Ferrari, Massa is leaving for Canada today, June 5, and he says his season will now have a new beginning.

“I definitely feel more confident now. I feel stronger as well and it’s also true that if Monaco was a good race, I was not that happy because, after the work I had done right from first practice, I had expected to be fighting for a podium finish. We had a chance of doing that, we had a good enough pace, but a better qualifying performance would have improved our chances on Sunday. It was very good compared to the start of the season, but we cannot be satisfied and now I want us to work hard to get something more. If we find the right direction, I know what I can do," said Massa.

In regards to why he was able to improve his performance in Monco, Massa said: " One is that the set-up required for Monaco is very different to that at other tracks. It might not be a normal situation, but maybe it is the best direction to go in to make the F2012 work for me. It’s true that there are fewer places that exert high lateral forces on the car at Monaco and dealing with those forces was a weak point with our car."

Massa says that the key to the grand prix in Montreal is finding a setup balance between speed on the straight and stability in the curves. Pirelli is sending the same Soft and Supersoft tires to Canada that were in Monaco, and Massa thinks that the team might have a good understanding of these tires.
