McLaren Acknowledges that Perez's Inexperienced but Not Worried

for next season, but McLaren says that it is not concerned because Perez is a young driver who is still learning. 

Perez has had a string of incidents since scoring his last points at the Singapore Grand Prix. He spun in Japan, had a crash in the first lap in Korea and had a tire puncture in India. 

"He has the speed, and he wants to get up there and win. But if he hasn't got something to learn at 22, there is something wrong," said McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh. 

McLaren plans to train hard with Perez during the winter, but the team will not be able to work with him until the season is over because of Perez's contract with McLaren.

have been very gracious and they have accepted what is happening and understand why Sergio is doing it.

"We have a very good relationship with Sauber but I don't think it is appropriate to push the point at the moment," said Whitmarsh.
