Although it had already been announced at the
570S GT4 launch,
McLaren finally unlocked the
570S Sprint ahead of this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed which will be taking place this weekend.
So far the 570S Sprint is the most track-focused car in the Sport Series range. The vehicle received major changes in terms of aerodynamics and chassis in order to adapt the production model to the requirements of the circuit driving.
In addition to a more aggressive front splitter and floor protection, the 507s Sprint also receives cast magnesium wheels wrapped in Pirelli racing tires. An air jack system can be added to assist in tires changing.
The interior was equipped with a race bucket seat and a six-point lock harness. The entire cabin is protected by a safety cage homologated by FIA and also and a fire extinguishing system. A passenger seat can be installed optionally.
Announced simultaneously with the 570S GT4, the two vehicles share some parts, but the Sprint is a version that retains some of the amenities so that the vehicle is more usable.
The first deliveries should take place in early 2017.
