New Altima Uses Tire Pressure Warning with PSI Indicator

The system flashes the lights and beeps the horn when the tires are properly inflated

with an Easy Fill Tire Alert system that it hopes will keep drivers safer. Like all of these systems, it alerts the driver that the tire pressure is low, but it also displays the individual tire and its pressure. If more than one tire is low, it will display all of the offending tires.

When the driver refills the tire, the horn beeps when it is full. If the driver overfills the tires, the horn beeps again and the lights flash and then beeps again when the driver lets out enough air to properly fill the tire.

"If you get a low pressure tire warning, you're not left wondering if you have a serious condition that requires you to stop immediately, or if its something that allows you to drive home or to the nearest filling station and then fill up," said Vishnu Jayamohan, Nisan Product Planning Executive.
