. Caterham says that the car will start for under £17,000 ($26,000 or €19,700) when it goes on sale this fall, but it has not said how much power the engine will produce.
The new Seven has a re-engineered chassis created by Caterham Technology & Innovation, the group's engineering division. The goal is to make it the most efficient, lightest Seven ever.
“As we celebrate our 40th anniversary at Caterham, it feels good to be taking the brand right back to where it started. Colin Chapman designed the original Seven to be entirely ‘fit-for-purpose’ – a racing car for the road with the driving experience at its heart.

The first deliveries are expected at the very end of 2013.
