New Jersey Grand Prix Facing Possible Cancelation

Red Bull had been promoting the race

The New Jersey Grand Prix might be dead before it even began. According to The Guardian, Bernie Ecclestone has canceled the contract for the second grand prix in the US because the race's organizers have missed certain deadlines. The race was tentatively scheduled for June 2013.

The FIA World Motorsport Council will finalize the 2013 Formula 1 calendar on September 28. It will not be long until we know officially whether the race is on the schedule.

"They don't have a contract," said Ecclestone.

He says that the organizers did not meet the contract's terms and conditions.
