. The model follows in the footsteps of the recently launched GT-R NismoNissan GT-R NismoJapan, 2013 > present and incorporates some improvements in terms of design and engineering.
New design
The design changes include a completely redesigned front bumper and has a larger air intake, additional air inlets on the front wheel arch and new LED daytime running lights. Other updates include the introduction of black headlight surroundings, special red Nismo trim at the base of the bumper as well as redesigned side sill and side doors and a special Nismo badge. The updated version of the 370Z Nismo also gets new 19-inch Rays alloy wheels finished in black and silver.
In the rear Nissan introduced a new bumper and a spoiler. The new 370Z Nismo's aerodynamic package includes a lower rear spoiler, in conjunction with the new front bumper can significantly create more downforce at high speeds.
Inside the new Nismo received new Recaro seats which offer significant improvements in terms of support and comfort. New seats have been designed specifically for the 370Z Nismo and feature a series of changes of detail to offer maximum support drivers. To match the steering wheel, the seats are upholstered in red and black leather and Alcantara.
By adopting a new shell-based construction in preference over a traditional tubular frame seat, Nissan has also been able to improve rigidity and reduce weight at the same time. To complete the interior makeover, the seats are trimmed in red and black leather and Alcantara to match the steering wheel.
Performance and improved chassis
The new 370Z Nismo is equipped with a 344hp 3.7-liter six-cylinder engine. Thanks to the high torque available at low revs the 370Z Nismo can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The sound of the sports car is responsibility of a dual exhaust system from Nismo.
The model is available only in the coupé variant with a manual six-speed gearbox. The new 370Z Nismo also received some updates on the suspension configuration. To improve driving comfort, stiffness of the springs and rear shocks has been updated, while changes to the carpets and inner rear wheel arch protector have further reduced road noise.
Nissan has not yet revealed the prices of the new 370Z Nismo.
