Nissan Opens First Public Electric Charging Station in Latin America

It is the first public electric car charger in Mexico

has built the first public electric vehicle quick-charging station in Latin America in Mexico City, Mexico. Two Nissan dealers in Mexico City have quick charging stations, but this is the first station available to the public.

Mexico City’s environment minister, the federal minister of energy and Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn attended the opening of the station.

electric vehicles in over 100 countries and placed more than 1,000 charging stations worldwide," said Ghosn.

Nissan plans to donate six more public quick charging stations to Mexican cities in the next year. There are 50 Nissan dealers, including the company headquarters, with quick chargers.
