Note that will go on sale in North America in the summer for a base price of $13,990.

For an inexpensive hatchback, the Versa Note will be available with some very cutting edge technology like Nissan's Around View Monitor camera system and active grill shutters.

The Note will be available in four trim levels - S, S Plus, SV and SL. All of them use a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 109hp and 107lb-ft of torque. The base S will only be available with a five-speed manual transmission, but all other trims will get a CVT. The CVT models will get 40mpg highway, 31mpg city and 35mpg combined fuel economy.

The Versa Note will seat five with 115.5ft³ of interior volume and 21.4ft³ of storage space. The seats fold flat to further increase storage space. There is also underfloor storage in the rear.

Nissan is giving buyers lots of customizability when buying the Versa. The basic car will be very basic, but higher trim cars will get features like heated seats, chrome trim, USB radio, Bluetooth and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. Top cars with Around View Monitor will get a 5.8in screen touchscreen with satellite navigation.
