Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed to Reuters that the Nürburgring will be on the Formula 1 schedule on July 7 as the German Grand Prix.
The race had not yet been confirmed on the 2013 schedule because of the track's financial difficulties last year that caused it to declare bankruptcy.
"In view of its long tradition, I was glad to support choosing the Nurburgring as the venue for the Formula 1," said Ecclestone.
The deal at the Nürburgring means that there is still one open spot on the calendar for July 21. Turkey, the Red Bull Ring in Austria, Paul Ricard in France and Algarve in Portugal have all reportedly been in negotiations for the race, but Ecclestone has said that it will likely be a 19-race season.
