city car that will be shown to the public at the Paris Motor Show and will go on sale in Europe in January. While small, Opel is positioning the Adam to by very stylish and packed with technology.

To start, the Opel will be offered in red, blue, burgundy and yellow. To set off the color the top comes in either black or silver. The style of the car matches its philosophy. It is small but quite stylish for a three-door hatchback.  It is 3.7m long and 1.72m wide. The roof is meant to look like it is floating above the car. It will have optional LED front and rear lights. From certain angles, it kind of looks like the Citroën Revolte concept from 2009.

“The new Opel ADAM offers lots of growth potential for our brand. We are very proud that our fashionable small car brings German engineering excellence to its segment. In fact, the ADAM is the only A-segment car that will be exclusively built in Germany. We are sure that it will get a fantastic reception in Paris at its world premiere in September," said Opel CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke.

Power will come from three tunes of two engines initially. There will be a 1.2 liter with 70hp, a 1.4 liter with 87hp and a 1.4 liter with 100hp. They all come with a five-speed manual transmission. All of the engines will have an EcoFlex option that adds stop/start. Opel also says that it will be adding a brand new direct-injected, turbocharged engine with a six-speed manual transmission will come later and premiere in the Adam.

The Adam will be offered in three trim levels - Jam, Glam and Slam.

Inside, Opel is pushing the car's technology. The infotainment system synchs with owners' iOS and Android devices. The infotainment screen is 7in wide and includes GPS, Bluetooth and USB. It also has an optional headliner with embedded LEDs. There will also be optional Advanced Park Assist that automatically parallel parks the car.
