Paris Motor Show

The 2010 Paris Motor Show is finally here. Over the next two days the brands will present their novelties to the press, before the doors open to the public on Saturday 2nd of October, only to close on the 17th.

There are already more than 100 world premieres promised by the manufactures for the ‘Paris Mondial de L’Automobile’. Many have been announced, but others remain a complete secret.

The preparations have been made, the cars have arrived to the Porte de Versailles exhibition pavilion, now its time for the unveiling. Autoviva will be updating this article throughtout the next two days so that you keep constantly informed about the news coming from Paris.

We will be adding the new cars with the respective photos as they will be presented. As the day progresses articles will be published so that you get to know better the new cars.

Lamborghini

After a whole month of teasers - a total of 6 - the raging bull brand presented its new concept car, the almost completely built with carbon-fibre technology Sesto Elemento. It gives the super sports cars a whole new direction, with a focus in lightweight.

Jaguar

Jaguar is presenting to the world its new concept car: the C-X75. The electric supercar brings a whole new different design to Jaguar as it celebrates the 75 years of the brand. The C-X75 shows a first glimpse to Jaguar's new design approach for the future models.

Audi

Audi arrives in Paris with two concept cars: the quattro and the e-tron Spyder. The quattro concept celebrates the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Audi quattro in Geneva, bringing together the winning motor sport qualities with everyday practicality. The e-tron Spyder is a plug-in hybrid in the form of a study open sports car and brings together the sports ADN with the fuel-efficiency more and more required in every car.

Volkswagën

The new Passat is the major unveilling from the German brand at the Paris Motor Show.The7th generation of the Passat model comes with a new styling and engines that are more fuel-efficient. Volkswagën is presenting both the saloon and estate versions.

Peugeot

Peugeot is presenting the HR1 concept car, an urban study vehicle that is said to blend together a number of genres: city run-around, coupé, SUV. The HR1 features the HYbrid 4 technology.

Renault

In Paris Renault is presenting new Laguna and Espace models and the electric DeZir

The new Laguna gets a new and sportier design and more fuel-efficient engines. It has been presentd in both saloon and estate versions.

Renault is showing its renewed Espace MPV, equipped with new engines and keeping its core ADN, which handled him success over the last four generations.

The DeZir brings passion to the Renault stand. the small proportions electric sports car, shows the use of electric power on a more irreverent car.

Land Rover

Besides the first appearence of the new Range Rover Evoque, Phil Popham, Managing Director, confirmed today at the Paris Motor Show that Land Rover will be producing a 5-door version of the Range Rover Evoque which will be revealed later this year. The first picture is already available.

Seat

For the Paris Motor Show the Spanish brand is showing an upgraded version of the Seat IBE electric, shown for the first time at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Since then its design, technology and interior have been further developed.

WRC Cars

Several World Rally Champinships cars are also making their first appearences in Paris. The Ford Focus RS WRC and the Citroën DS3 WRC show the brands' bets for the next seasons of rally racing. MINI is also presenting its comeback rally car: the MINI WRC concept.

Lotus

Lotus has just ended the presentation of a series of vehicles that are set to become part of Lotus range over the next few years. The unveils include the return of the Esprit in 2013, the new Elise for 2015, the new Elan, the Elite and a new concept car called Eterne.

Ferrari

At this year's Paris Motor Show Ferrari is presenting the roadster version of its 599 model, called SA APERTA, and a greener version of the California, featuring a new technology called HELE (High Emotion Low Emissions. This latest vehicle comes to confirm the rumours that stated the production of greener California and also a turning point for Ferrari's as they come closer to fuel-efficiency, a theme that for long was a taboo for the Italian brand.
