has announced its 2013/2014 pricing for the United States and included on the list is the 918 Spyder.
Porsche lists its next supercar as a 2014 model, which means that legally it will go on sale after June in the US. The base car will be priced at $845,000, and the car with the Weissach Package will retail for $929,000.
According to the pricing list, Porsche has not yet determined a destination charge for the 918 Spyder, which means that it could be more than the roughly $1,000 that is added to Porsches in the US as a destination charge.
Previous reports indicated that the Weissach Package would be covered in foil instead of using paint to save 5.5lbs (2.5kg). They will use magnesium wheels to save 29.76lbs (13.5kg). The seats will be made from fire-resistant cloth instead of leather and have 6-point harnesses. Inside, they will have carbon fiber paddle shifters and carbon fiber trim and special doors with no armrests, door pockets or interior door handles. They will also have no glove compartment, storage compartment in the center console or carpeting. The Weissach Package will also get rid of the stereo and air conditioning.
These details came from an early leaked brochure and may not fit the production model.
