A recreation of the Noddy Car from Enid Blyton’s Noddy books is being put up for auction by Silverstone Auctions and is based on an 1969 FiatFiatFiatItaly, 1899 > present159 models

The company estimates that it will sell for between £20,000 and £25,000 during the July 27 auction at the Silverstone track.

“This amazing Noddy Car has got to be one of the most easily recognizable cars anywhere on the planet, and it doesn’t get any closer to the one that Noddy actually drives with his friends in their adventures in Toytown,” said Will Smith, Silverstone Auctions’ car specialist.

The Gamine VIgnale was made from 1967 to 1971 as a roadster based on the Fiat 500500Fiat 500Italy, 1957 > present15 versions

Blyton was a prolific children's storywriter and wrote 24 Noddy books from 1949 to 1963. The character has had multiple television incarnations as well since 1955.
