Red Bull Starts Contest to Design Vettel's Helmet for US GP

has started a contest to design Sebastian Vettel’s helmet for practice and qualifying at the US Grand Prix on November 15 and 16. The winner not only gets to see Vettel wearing his/her design but gets two VIP tickets to the race at the Circuit of the Americas and gets to meet Vettel.

Competing is fairly simple. Contestants go to the contest web site and use an online tool to create the design or download a template and draw it by hand. Vettel will select his favorite on September 30, and the winner will be contacted.

“The helmets I wear are very important to me, as each one has a special meaning or a connection with the race in question. Normally I work closely with my helmet designer to come up with a new design for every other race, and this is the first time I’ve given the fans the chance to do it for me,” said Vettel.

The contest starts on September 5 and runs through 7:59am ET on September 29. It is open only to entrants in the US.
