Both cars are taking from their smaller counterparts. The 308 is borrowing from the 208 that was revealed in 2012, and the new Megane is clearly borrowing from the new Clio. 

The 308 is due to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and it will follow the the industry trend of having a shorter overall length but roughly same size wheelbase and lower weight. Peugeot is moving towards more creases in its design and more narrow headlights. 

The Megane has the large front emblem from the latest Clio and is a five-door with the rear door handles hidden in the C-pillars. The same industry rules will follow with the Megane with lower weight and lower overall length but roughly the same wheelbase.
