Roberto Cavalli Creating 2013 Life Ball Mini

Auction of the car supports HIV and AIDS prevention

has announced that famous fashion designer Roberto Cavalli will create the Mini that will be auctioned at the Life Ball in Vienna on May 25. Famous designers and dignitaries in the fashion industry have been styling Minis since 2001. The cars are auctioned at the show with the proceeds going to HIV and AIDS prevention.

Mini donates the car each year to be styled and sold for charity. Since it began the project, the auctions have raised more than €500 million. The cars have been styled by famous designers including Diane von Furstenberg, Kenneth Cole, Donatella Versace and singer Katy Perry.

“Designing the MINI was a very fun, exciting and stimulating experience. I had to create a car which not only respected and conveyed my fashion, but also my lifestyle: an unusual challenge, but surely a fascinating one”, said Cavalli.

The theme for this year's even is "1001 Nights."
