Seat’s first estate model to be presented in Geneva

The Spanish manufacturer Seat will be premiering in the Geneva Motorshow its first ever estate vehicle. The new Seat Ibiza ST will be joining the Ibiza family, becoming the third model to make part of the successful Spanish line-up. The new estate compact model will be available in six modern engine variants and with a wide diversity of equipment and technologies.

With a length of 4.23 metres, the Ibiza ST is 18 centimetres longer than the Ibiza and, although its size has grown, it maintains the youthful, sporty character of the Ibiza range.

Sporty dynamics with a high degree of efficiency continue to be a synonym of the brand with its state-of-the-art engines. Three petrol and three TDI engines with common-rail injection will be available for the new Ibiza ST, with four of the six engines operating with direct injection and turbocharging. The range of engines includes the exceptionally efficient 1.2 TDI and 1.2 TSI.

The new Ibiza ST will also have three different lines – Reference, Style and Sport – with different hi-tech equipment options – such as the dual-clutch transmission – completing the Spanish brand’s bet on the small estate car segment.

Why did you say that it was its first ever Estate? SEAT already sold station wagon in the past...
