ST in a new video. The Spanish automaker strapped a GoPro camera to the chassis of a Leon ST as it went through all phases of construction at its Martorell factory.

The Leon ST takes 19 hours to build from beginning to end with 5,900 parts and 1.58km of cable.

The video starts from a bare floorplan, and shows the robots completing welds on it. Then it moves to the assembly line where body panels  and doors begin to be added. Next, the completed chassis is painted. At about a minute into the video, the interior is fitted. Ten seconds later, mechanical compents like the rear suspension subframe and engine finally get attached from the car. Then it is just down to final additions like trim and fluids. The last major peice to go on is the front end.

The factory builds ten cars on four platforms with 10,000 employees, and 2,000 cars leave the factory each day. The factory celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013. It completed the larges installation of solar panels at one site in the auto industry at the factory earlier this year.
