It will cover the quarter mile in 12 seconds at 119mph. 

“For the new Stingray, we set out to elevate every aspect of the Corvette’s performance. Considered alone, the acceleration, braking and cornering performance of the Corvette Stingray is truly impressive," said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer.

The Corvette will go on sale in the fall for $51,995, and Z51 Performance Package adds $2,800 to the price and includes an aerodynamic package, performance exhaust electronic limited-slip differential, dry-sump oiling system and additional cooling for the brakes, differential and transmission. The Z51 package also boosts horsepower by 5hp. To add Magnetic Ride Control and traction control, buyers will have to pay a further $1,795. A fully loaded Corvette will run buyers $56,590. 

Deliveries to Europe will also start in the fall for €69,990 and include both the Z51 package and Magnetic Ride Control as standard features.
