The 2013 GT500 Super Snake will be available with either 662hp or 850hp depending on the size of the buyer's bank account, and only 500 of them will be built for 2013. Buyers must first give Shelby a regular Mustang, which carry a base price of $22,200 in the US. The 662hp package adds $28,995.00 to that price, and the 850hp package adds $39,995.00.

The GT500 Super Snake gets a six-speed manual transmission with either a 3.31:1 or 3.73:1 rear axle ratio. The suspension is upgraded, and the car gets an extra radiator, heat exchanged and aluminum tanks to hold the coolant. Other performance upgrades include a wider diameter exhaust, larger brakes, functional brake cooling ducts It includes satin black, silver, blue or white stripes and new black or silver 20in wheels. For the 850hp version, the car gets a larger supercharger.

Also new for this year will be wide body kits for the standard Mustang, Shelby GTSShelby GTS 50th AnniversaryUnited States of America, 2012 > present2 photos
and GT500 Super Snake. The wide body kits are available for the front and rear allow buyers to fit tires up to 14in wide thanks to the widened fenders. The kits fit any Mustang newer than 2005.
