Skoda Builds 500,000th Superb at Kvasiny factory

at its factory in Kvasiny, Czech Republic. The specific car was a white Superb Combi Laurin & Klement.

“Half a million Skoda Superb produced – that is a number which makes us proud. The Skoda Superb is our brand’s flagship. It shows the great capability of the entire ŠKODA team and symbolizes like hardly any other model our company’s outstanding performance. Since we introduced the car eleven years ago, total sales of our model palette have almost doubled,” said Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland.

The Superb is sold in 85 countries worldwide but is especially popular in China where about 40% of the sales go. It is also offered in a Combi estate model that makes up more than half of the sales. Last year, Skoda sold 117,000 Superbs worldwide, which is the first time ever sales were over 100,000 units. 

Recently, Skoda did a stunt in China by driving from Beijing to Shanghai on a single tank fo fuel in a Superb Combi 1.4 TSI DSGSkoda Superb Combi 1.4 TS...Czech Rep., 2011 > present2 photos
