on sale next year, and it is planning to move Chinese-market production to China to satisfy growing demand. Since being introduced, China has become Mini's fourth-largest market for sales. BMW's front-wheel drive models that share a platform with the third-gen Mini will also likely be built in China for the domestic market.

The cars will be built in Shenyang, China possibly as soon as 2015. It has already allocated space for the new production and built a new paint shop for the cars. Building cars in China for the domestic market means that BMW can import more of its larger, more profitable cars into China

European cars will be built at the traditional Oxford, England, factory and the Nedcar factory in the Netherlands.
