that the police says that it paid full price of around $3 million for.
Since then it has created a fleet of some of the most desirable cars in the world.
"The aim is to reflect the reputation of the emirate and the high stature it achieved. It will also help promote tourism and showcase the security role the Dubai police plays in safeguarding the city," said Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina of the Dubai Police in regards to its amazing patrol fleet.
There is no sign that the police will stop buying cars for its fleet any time soon. It added a McLaren 12CMcLaren MP4-12CUnited Kingdom, 2012 > present544 photos
to the fleet just last week.
“Dubai Police are working on updating the police patrol cars to enhance security on the roads in accordance with highest international standards and technical developments. These sports cars will not be roaring and chasing speeding motorists. They will be used for roads security in different areas of Dubai,” said Dubai Police Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim.
The Aventador was the car that started it all. In April, the Dubai Police announced that it had added the Aventador to its fleet.
"The aim is to reflect the reputation of the emirate and the high stature it achieved," said the police chief at the time.
The 12C is the latest addition to the Dubai Police fleet. It even created a video of its unveiling. Unlike most of its cars, the police did not say whether the car will be used for high speed or in-city use.
The Aston Martin One-77 is probably the most hyped of the city's police cars. As the name implies, just 77 of them were built. The force said that it paid full price of around $3 million for the car, and that it would be used for in-city security.
The Dubai Police also have a Ford Mustang GT. Although, it is one of their less mentioned cars. You can see it in the background of this photo.
In addition to the Mustang GT, the police in Dubai also have a Camaro SS. Like the Mustang, it is one of the city's less mentioned cars, but the police force has said that it uses it for highway patrols.
The Dubai Police also have an M6 Gran Coupe in its collection of patrol vehicles. Unlike many of its other cars, the force did not initially promote it on Twitter or Facebook.
The Bentley Continental GT was another of the early cars revealed to be in the police fleet in Dubai. Compared to some of the other hypercars available, it seems almost boring.
The Ferrari FF was the second car promoted by the Dubai Police's twitter account as being in its fleet. The police chief said that the reason for the cars was that the police wanted a collection of cars representing the city's wealth.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was announced about the same time as the Aston Martin One-77. Since then, the car has been shown rarely.
At the Dubai Motor Show the city showed off several news cars that are serving in its fleet, including an Audi R8.
Another one of the cars revealed at the Dubai Motor Show was a Mercedes SL63 AMG in the police livery.
Also as the Dubai Motor Show, the force showed off this Mercedes-Benz G-Class that had been tuned by Brabus.
Also at the Dubai Motor Show, the company revealed a Nissan GT-R in its police livery. Like the rest of the cars revealed at the show, it has not been promoted since then, and does not appear in the police force's promotional video.
