The Mexican Vūhl 05 supercar will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 11 through 14. The company has just announced a new partnership with Michelin for the tires on the Vūhl 05. It has also released two new images of the car.
Vūhl describes the 05 as a "road-legal lightweight supercar" that will be aimed at buyers looking for a premium track-day car.
The first exterior image of the Vūhl 05 shows the car as a low-slung, two-place roadster. The engine's air intake appears to be positioned between the two seats. The rest of the car is still camouflaged.
“We are so pleased to add Michelin to our inventory of supporting companies, and look forward to the results of our testing with a variety of the brand’s renowned tires at their facilities in Europe and the U.S later this year," said Vūhl Automotive director Iker Echeverria.
Vūhl Automotive stands for Vehicles of Ultra High-performance and Lightweight and was founded by brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria. The brothers are responsible for the car's design and have previous experience building GT and formula racecars.
The Vūhl 05 is a Pan-American production with the bodies being completed in Canada and being shipped to Mexico City for final assembly. The chassis are being built at Vūhl's workshop.
