Vettel clinches pole on another Red Bull front row

Red Bull dominated once again the qualifying this weekend. In Korea Vettel and Mark Webber were the two fastest drivers on track, giving Red Bull its second front row in a row and eighth of the season.

Vettel will start from first position at tomorrow's inaugural Korean Grand Prix. The German secured his ninth pole of the season just at the end of the session after the checkered flag had already fallen, taking Ferrari's Fernando Alonso out of top position.

Right at the end of the qualifying it seemed that Fernando Alonso seemed certain to catch the first pole position in Korea, with a time of 1m35.766s. But then came Vettel into action and delivered in his second attempt on his option tyres and beat Alonso's best time by almost 0.2s, showing Red Bull's mastery in qualifyings.

It got even worse for Alonso as he fell another place when Webber also beat his time, on his second lap on his options as well. The Aussie then secured the front row for his team. Still Webber will have some concerns tomorrow as he will depart from the dirty side of the track.

At the end of qualifying Hamilton was once again unsatisfied. The Brit set the early pace in Q3 and shown good pace during the whole session but was just able to grab 4th place. Along the way he still managed to avoid a crash into the barriers as he lost the control of his car on the pit entry.

Nico Rosberg with his Mercedes was fifth while Ferrari's Felipe Massa was sixth.

Having struggled throughout the whole qualifying for tyre temperature, Jenson Button couldn't do better than seventh place. The Brit was followed by Renault's Robert Kubica and Michael Schumacher. Rubens Barrichello closed the top ten with his Williams.
