has donated a Gol with a Totalflex engine to allow the humanitarians to get into deprived areas.

Kolpingwerk aims to supply educational charity and social help to impoverished areas of Brazil. Its previous vehicle used a significant amount of fuel and was in need of major repairs. Volkswagen has donated a replacement. The Gol uses a Totalflex engine that was developed in Brazil. It will accept gasoline or ethanol and any mixture of them.

"Our work includes visits to our Kolping families. We listen to their worries and concerns, are there for them, give them tips and advice and celebrate the church year with them. We are very pleased that the Gol which has been provided will keep us mobile in the critical marginal areas of Guarapuava in the future," said Karl Wiszniewsky who heads the charity in Parana, Brazil.

Kolpingwerk does work in the entire state of Parana but focuses on the city Guarapuava, which has 160,000 impoverished inhabitants.

The Gol is VW's entry-level car in Brazil. Its chassis is based on a combination of the previous generation PoloPolo Gen.4Volkswagen Polo Gen.4Germany, 2002 > 200933 versions

. It is available with either a 1.0-liter or 1.6-liter engine. Because of Brazil's large sugar infrastructure, the cars can be fueled by gasoline or ethanol.
