Volkswagen has unveiled today the first images of the facelifted version of the Eos. Set to make its world premiere at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Eos will be the next model to adopt VW’s new family face.
The facelifted coupe-cabriolet receives a new front fascia, including redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lights, a new front grille with chromed accents, as well as a generously-sized air intake and new fog lights.
At the back the new Eos features new square-design taillamps that use LED technology and a redesigned bumper.
Inside, the Eos has also been enhanced with the use of new materials. It received a new steering wheel and a redesigned instrument panel.
In terms of engine range, the 2011 Eos will be available with a choice between one diesel and three petrol engines. The diesel unit can be fitted with a six-speed manual or to a six-speed DSG automatic. The petrol range is formed by the 1.4 TSI 122 hp, a 160 hp version of the same engine and by a 210 hp 2.0 TSI engine. The petrol units come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. For the range-topper a six-speed DSG gearbox can also be ordered.
The 2011 Volkswagen Eos will reach the markets across Europe in mid-January next year, with a starting price of EUR27,795 ($38,845).
