Aussie driver Mark Webber took yet another pole-position for Red Bull Racing in this Saturday's qualifying of the Spanish Grand Prix. In the Montmelo circuit, in Barcelona, Webber was fastest than his team-mate Sebastian Vettel, as Red Bull continued to dominate the qualifying sesions of this season.
With both Red Bull drivers dominating the action throughout the first two sessions, Webber topped the first two legs. In Q3 he add to work harder in the final instants of the session as Vettel climbed to the top of the standings.
Lewis Hamilton for McLaren had to settle for third position. The Brit was the quickest of the rest of the bunch and was 0.8 seconds slower than Webber's fastest time.
Local favourite Fernando Alonso was the best of the Ferrari's, while Jenson Button with the other McLaren completed the top five.
Michael Schumacher was for the first time since the beggining of the season fastest than his Mercedes GP team-mate as he finished sixth. Renault's Robert Kubica placed between the two Mercedes as Rosberg couldn't do better than eighth place.
In tomorrow's race Felipe Massa will start in ninth place ahead of Sauber's Kobayashi, who handled the team's best performance in qualifyings of the season. His team-mate Pedro de la Rosa also did well as he managed to take 12th spot behind Force India's Adrian Sutil who failed to qualify for Q3.
This time's high profile casualty in Q1 was Rubens Barrichello who decided against running the Williams update package after trying it in free practice. Behind him Lotus was the quickest of the new-coming teams. The updates on the team's car gave both drivers a comfortable lead over the Virgin's and HRT's drivers.
