Vettel was fastest in the second practice

Formula 1 is back after a month-long vacation, and it is at arguably the best track on the calendar. There are also races from NASCAR, the Rallye Deutschland and V8 Supercars. Plus, we are just a week away from the first WEC race in 10 weeks.

Formula 1

The biggest race of the weekend will certainly be the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. Formula 1 has been on vacation for a month since the Hungarian Grand Prix. There is all sorts of fun speculation about where drivers are going to be next year, especially Daniel Ricciardo and Kimi Raikkonen.

To add even more fuel to the fire, Sebastian Vettel got a flat right rear tire, and Giedo van der Garde crashed in what may have been a tire problem. It is possible we could see another fiasco like the British Grand Prix this season.

Qualifying starts at 2:00pm local time on Saturday, August 24, and the race will be at the same time on Sunday. The race will cover 44 laps of the 7.004km track.

NASCAR

NASCAR heads to Bristol for the second time this season. This time it is a 500-lap race around the 0.53-mile track at night. The race starts at 7:30pm ET on Saturday, August 24.

Jimmie Johnson still leads the drivers' championship with a 41-point lead over Clint Bowyer.

WRC

The World Rally Championship began the Rallye Deutschland on August 22, and it runs through the 25th. After the first day of competition, Sebastian Ogier has a 5.7-second lead over Jari-Matti Latvala.

V8 Supercars Winton Motor Raceway

V8 Supercars is also back after a break with three races at the 3.0km Winton Motor Raceway in Winton, Victoria, Australia. There is one race on Saturday, August 24, at 3:35pm local time and two races on Sunday, August 24, at 1:35pm and 4:15pm local time respectively.

Jamie Whincup leads the drivers' championship with a 129-point lead over Craig Lowndes.
